Q: Do I need to empty my kitchen cupboards?
A: No, people are the food of choice for bed bugs, not the food in your cabinets. Just be sure that your baseboards in your kitchen are accessible and that your pet dishes are not left on the floor.
Q: Do I need to wipe down everything on my kitchen counter when you are done?
A: No, our treatment is directed and not necessary in the upper sections of your kitchen. However, if it will give you peace of mind to do so, you are welcome to do that.
Q: I just washed my clothes, do I need to rewash them?
A: No, you don't need to rewash recently washed clothing in the washing machine; however, you must dry them in a hot dryer for at least 30 minutes. If your laundry, bedding and/or linens have not been recently washed, then they must be washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer. Once that is done, all items need to be bagged and sealed 100%.
Q: Do my pet(s) need to leave?
A: Yes, all pet(s) and people must be out of the property for a minimum of three hours after the treatment. Fish can remain however the tank must be covered and the filter unplugged.
Q: What should I use to seal the bags?
A: You can use a tight knot, a zip tie or duct tape. Just make sure that they are sealed completely.
Q: Do I need to empty dressers and closets in unaffected bedrooms?
A: Yes, all rooms must be treated to gain control and elimination of bed bugs. This means that the prep work must be done for all rooms in the house.
Q: What do I do with my shoes from my closet?
A: If they of a material that can be put into a dryer, then dry them for at least 30 minutes. If not, inspect them thoroughly and then bag and seal them 100% just like your clothes, bedding, and linens.
Q: My child has a lot of stuffed animals. Do I need to discard these?
A: No, you do not need to discard them unless the technician states that the infestation is severe enough to warrant. However, we recommend that you put them in a hot dryer for a period no less than 30 minutes.
A: No, our treatment will not affect your electronics or televisions. However, it is imperative that you have all items removed from the baseboards.
